When I saw Elsie's Pumpkin Pie milkshake I got super excited about the idea of a pumpkin milkshake. I love Pumpkin Pie! However, I was too lazy and impatient to make a whole pumpkin pie to make her milkshake recipe. I remembered that we had Pumpkin ice cream, so I thought I'd give it a whirl with a bit of a different recipe... and oh man... so delicious! This recipe is for about 1 serving, so if you want to make more, you can double/triple/etc.
A Blender
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1 1/2 cups Tillamook Pumpkin Ice Cream
3 Tbs simple syrup
A few Ice cubes
Throw everything together in the blender and blend away! I included the ice cubes to make it a bit thicker, but they're optional depending on the consistency you want. At first I tried it without the simple syrup, but it ended up tasting too much like the pumpkin puree, so I decided it needed a bit more sweetness. The simple syrup was the perfect addition! I made a big batch of simple syrup the other night and it's super easy. You just take 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water and cook it in a small sauce pan over the stove for about 5 minutes, until it's cleared up. Let it cool and it's ready to go!
