A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... just kidding, in Spokane in 2008 I took a retail therapy shopping trip to Nordstrom Rack to get a new outfit in the wake of being dumped. I wanted a change, I wanted a complete outfit that made me feel fresh and great. This jacket was a purchase in that shopping trip and I still love it! It was a size too big for me, but I loved the colors so much that I got it anyway.
I've gotten so much mileage out of this jacket. I always know I've made a good clothing purchase when a) I put the item on as soon as I get home and b) I style it a million different ways (sometimes in the first week of owning it). Another item that has gotten a ton of mileage: this jumper. I don't think I've had a jumper since I was like 4 years old, but when I saw this one I thought it was so cute I decided to get it, and man, I've worn it with so many different tops! At this very moment it's currently hanging on my wall styled with a different top waiting to be worn.
Do you guys put outfits together and hang them on hangers, waiting to be worn? I used to have a dress form in my room in Alaska that I'd put outfits on, waiting to be worn. Now I hang them up on hangers, all styled with all the pieces ready to put on. Sometimes I'll have 3 or 4 outfits styled and hung up when I'm really inspired, or I have new pieces that I can't wait to wear and remix in different ways. Does anyone else do this? I'm such a visual person that I like having them right there for me to see. In the past I've hung my favorite dress on the wall beside some artwork as pretty decor for my room, though, now that Dan and I are living together I don't want to overwhelm our home with feminine decor.
