the tipping point

I've tried writing this post like 10 times, but nothing ever seems to come out right or say something I want to say. I'm blaming it on the fact that I have a huge career decision to make in the next 4 weeks and there are a myriad of thoughts choking my brainwaves. I wish big decisions could come with a glimpse into the future. Like, "here look: here's how your future will look if you chose this.... .... and here's how your future will look if you choose that...."
Right now I feel like I have this veil in my life that is blinding my view into my future. After May, I have no clue what my life will look like. I feel like this usually isn't the case and it feels very strange. Almost as if I'm being blindfolded, like how you get blindfolded while someone is leading you up to reveal a huge surprise. It's exciting, and nerve-wracking. I trust that no matter what happens, and no matter what I choose, things will be good.

I've had this shirt in my closet for a really long time, but I rarely wear it, but it's the perfect simple top. I got it at a thrift store in Anchorage when I was living at home last summer and I brought it home to show my mom and she was like, "... did you get that from my closet?" and I said, "no, I just got it at the thrift store!" and she proceeded to go to her closet and pull out the exact same shirt. Same brand, same size and everything. *face palm* Haha! I could've just gone and borrowed it from her closet! I kind of like that my mom is a similar size to me, I like to raid her closet for clothes when I go home. I usually pack pretty light on trips home, and don't put much thought into packing outfits because I'm so excited to fly home. Luckily I can run up to my parents' room and grab a cardigan or a scarf or something from her closet to complete an outfit. Thanks Mom!

I don't have any sisters, so I never really got into that whole swapping clothes, borrowing from each other thing. When I started the Delightful Dozen it was kind of to create this sisterhood where we could essentially "raid" each other's closets. It was something I never experienced growing up and now I've thoroughly enjoyed building friendships with these other bloggers through swapping clothes and seeing the way each girl styles an article of clothing in her unique and creative way!
