The other day I saw ModCloth's recent holiday lookbook and I got in the mood to look at pretty, sparkly, winter party dresses. I don't think I'll have any opportunity to dress up in sparkly things this holiday season, but it's always fun to browse through the party dresses and imagine that I'm attending some sort of swanky, dress-up soiree. The first dress would be a perfect prom dress, I think (though we didn't have prom at my high school, so I suppose I'm only guessing). I associate winter with stuff like prom and homecoming because in Alaska it's winter when those events are going on. Come to think of it, pretty much the entire school year is dominated by freezing cold winter here in Alaska.
