I love that my parents took so many photos when I was little. It's so cool to see what my life was like at the beginning of it all. I love my early memories from life in California. Going to the park, picking strawberries in the backyard, helping my mom plant pansies. There are way more photos of me as a little one (ballerina pictures?!) so I'll try to scan some more and do another post later.
As you can see, my hair has been big since the beginning, haha!
My mom says I have always been picky when it comes to my clothes. She would let me dress myself and I would wear this pink striped/polka dot dress all the time. There are seriously so many photos of me wearing it. I thought it would be hilarious to custom make a big version of it that I could wear now.
My younger brother was born with a congenital heart defect and Soto's Syndrome, so his first years were spent in and out of hospitals. My parents actually initially brought him home to die because there was nothing doctors could do for him. He miraculously kept living much longer than he was supposed to and a few months later my parents were told about an experimental surgery which could save his life. I could go on and on, but the whole story really deserves an entire post to itself, possibly two or three. I love the pictures of me "helping" my mom with the stethoscope. (also, look! my mom has like the same hair in this picture as mine when it was straightened yesterday).
I think I must've been a "daddy's girl." I still like hanging out with my dad. We go flying and work on stuff and do outdoorsy things. We have a home video somewhere of him taking me flying when I was like two or so. It's actually pretty funny, I wish I could find it.
Well, you guys, I'm going on a mini-vacation (just a day or so). I'm going up to Talkeetna to hang out with my friend, Brad, who just got into town! We're going to be gallivanting and taking pictures and doing fun things, so hopefully I'll have some great pictures to share with you all upon my return!
