1. Describe your dream house.
Anywhere away from the city and any major highways. It should have enough rooms for a little studio, nursery (for future use), and maybe an extra one to turn into a walk-in closet.; I've always dreamt of having a room filled with all of my shoes, accessories and clothing all in one place . It would lead out to a boardwalk onto the beach. A little garden would be nice too.
2. What inspires you?
People, photography, movies, music, anything aruond me really. I love watching a beautiful movie and just keeping all those scenes in my mind for as long as I can and then using them to recreate an outfit as inspiration.
I'd love to sleep in and wake up next to my loved one. To not have any set plans that day but make sure that it's spent making the best out of life. Maybe end up at an outdoor dinner party with friends, wine and great food.
4. What has been your favorite place to live so far?
Oh boy, this is a tough one! I absolutely love Vancouver,BC. The relaxed vibe of that city makes you really take life in and enjoy every moment of it. It's so easy to just meet up with friends and have a great time whether you're at someones house, or find yourself at the beach. It just seems to happen so effortlessly. I do love Brooklyn though because of it's quirks and community feeling. I've really been able to explore my creativity and wear absolutely anything that I feel like wearing that day without any judgments. I love that about this city.
There are so many places that I have yet to visit that I think it'd be really hard to make that decision! I still want to visit Spain, Argentina, Japan, London.... so I guess I don't have an answer to that question yet.
6. What does style mean to you?
For me style is unique. Its bringing out your inner creativity and showing it to the world. You can't be shy when it comes to style. I think everyone has it in them but most people are afraid to show it.
7. If you could plan your dream party, who would you invite?
Friends and family of course, and also: Zooey Deschanel, Ben Gibbard (her fiance), Leslie Feist, Adam Brody (secret crush), Kate Nash, the Wilson brothers (Owen and Luke), George Stromboulopoulus, Chloe Sevigny, M.I.A., Marion Cotillard, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (not so secret crush), Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Marc Jacobs, Alexis Bledel. I can keep on going as there's plenty of people that I would love to meet, but i'll stop here.
It'd be a theme party as I love making everyone dress up. I'd choose something fun though like a 1930's gangster party where ladies have to dress up as flappers and guys would have to be gangsters, a la Bonnie and Clyde.
9. What kind of music would you play?
Oh I'd love to keep the theme going and play some classics such as Billie Holiday, Edith Piaf, Bing Crosby...etc...
