Marshalls recently contacted me asking if I wanted to participate in a fall fashion challenge: create a whole outfit for only $100. Well, I wanted to take the challenge a bit further. Whenever I see splurge vs steal sections in magazines where the "steal" is still over $100 I don't really consider that a steal. So I decided to up the ante. I wanted to be able to create at least 5 outfits out of the items I bought using that $100. Okay, well I ended up spending an extra $20 more than the $100 I was given because I can't do math, even though I checked like seven times. I didn't get any shoes from Marshalls because I couldn't find anything in my size (damn you baby feet), but other than that, I'll be showing you five complete remixed outfits! Another guideline for the challenge? Base the outfit off of one of the following: Color, Prints, or 'Ladylike with an Edge'. Obviously I chose prints! I can't avoid a good print, and mixing prints seems to be in my blood.
Oh, and the best part? I get to give away a $100 gift card to Marshalls one lucky winner so she can snag her own fall outfits! So, next week after I've posted all five outfits, there will be a giveaway for a $100 gift card to Marshalls.

Cozy sweaters are a necessity for fall, and I loved this slouchy oatmeal cardigan. I thought the neutral color was a nice contrast to the crazy prints on the dress. I didn't even realize when I got the dress that it's kind of mixing prints on it's own. There are geometric prints mixed with more animalistic prints and stripes and such, all together on one dress. No wonder I chose it. Sometimes I think I mix prints so much because I just don't even see the print. I don't think I even really took a good look at the print on this dress until I was looking at these photos as I composed this post. Huh!
