Livin' in the New World

Tacoma has been absolutely beautiful these past few days. Sun! Of course it's still quite chilly outside, but it's giving me hope that spring is sheepishly trying to make her way here. I saw some pussy willows yesterday and got super excited! When I was a kid I used to love collecting pussy willows because they were just so tiny and soft, it was like this tiny fuzzy creature or something. Plus, they were such rays of hope after the long, frigid Alaskan winter...

Let's talk about how this outfit is, well, kinda silly. I'm wearing three different polka dotted things, fake glasses, and a faux leather skirt. I originally just had the top on, but for some reason it was begging for the mustard cardigan, so I obliged. I think there's something about the combo of yellow and black that appeals to my aesthetic. Perhaps it's memories of the classic Piper Cubs or yellow muscle cars with black racing stripes. I've been enjoying pairing colors and lately I almost crave the combination of a bunch of colors. Maybe it's the feeling that spring is on its way, even if it's still a couple months away.
