sheer delight

Yesterday Dan and I put in our deposit and rental application on a tiny little house that we adore! It's got room for the Winne in the back, a lovely backyard perfect for barbecues and campfires, and is in just the right location! So now we're just praying that everything gets approved. I probably wouldn't move in for another couple weeks if we get approved, but it'll be nice to have a place quasi-settled before the wedding so we don't have to worry about finding a place during the craziness of the weeks before the wedding. Dan will still be living at his place until November, but it'll be nice for him to slowly shuffle his things over... pending us getting the house!

More exciting things: My Mom & Dad came into town yesterday! They stopped in Tacoma for a bit, grabbed some coffee, and had a look at our wedding venue (though we couldn't go in because there was a wedding there at the time). Oh, and my Mom dropped of my dress! Yup, the dress. Yay!

It feels like summer is reaching it's climax here in western Washington. My Mom and Dad were sweltering because in Alaska it's already fall, with the temperatures down in the 50s. This sheer top is awesome for hot days because it's lightweight and breezy enough to layer and add interest to an outfit without contributing to the heat. Plus, it just feels pretty. Oh, and I guess I'm still on a matchy-matchy kick because this top matches my shorts almost exactly, haha!
