My best friend texted me a link to this artist, Brett Manning, yesterday and I fell in love with her curly-haired-girl drawings. The details and contrast are just stunningly beautiful. In fact, they made me ache for my black hair back. I think I'm gonna stick with the red for a bit longer, but I feel the transition on its way. I've spent a year with red hair so far (which is waaaay longer than I'd originally intended!), and it's been a good run.
But anyway, I digress. Whenever I see stuff like this it makes me want to draw! I spend so much time these days doing digital work that I really want to spend some time physically drawing. Hopefully being on the illustration team for Freckled Nest will help me do this too! There are a few things I've been meaning to set aside time in my day to do. I feel like setting out 30 minutes each to do stuff like exercise and draw would be a good habit to get into. I've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off the past few week and I think my body is in revolt! Here's a visual on what my life has looked like recently.
