true love waits in haunted attics

Work felt soooo loooonnngg yesterday. My supervisor left at like 9 am and my coworker left at noon, so the last half of the day I was all alone and aching for the weekend. To top it off, I was the only one not informed that we were leaving at 5 instead of 6. Thankfully the guy locking up let me know and I was really excited because the camera shop called and told me my lens was fixed and I wouldn't have been able to pick it up if I worked till 6. Everything worked out perfectly and I got to get out of work early and get my lens!

When I received this dress from Megan Nielsen, I was so excited to wear it, but terrified to actually take it out into the decidedly dirty world which is break-up. Pretty much everything is coated in a thin layer of dirt. But, Lo! Though I walk through the valley of dirty snow, I will fear no mud. This dress is actually a swing mini dress, but I decided to belt it. I love it both ways, but I loved the belt and boots together. Speaking of the boots...! I got a wonderful package in the mail from KensieGirl with these darling booties. They are almost exactly like my Target boots, but a cuter, slightly sexier version! Perfection. A huge thanks to Mel for thinking of my tiny feet and sending them to me! Heels especially are hard to find when you have miniscule feet.

I kept seeing lovely ladies wearing boater hats and I love me a cute hat so when I saw this one at Claire's during my last jaunt through the mall, I knew I had to give it a try. I feel like I'm a character in a book when I wear it. I'm not sure what book, but a book character nonetheless. Anne of Green Gables, maybe? Haha! Don't forget to keep up with the Delightful Dozen, I'll be passing this dress on to some of them and I for one can't wait to see how they style it!
