Trust the Midas touch

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain

I was so delighted when my brother walked in after I cut my bangs and exclaimed, "Chuck!!"
I worked today with a 17 year old girl who was "training" me, though, I've worked there longer than she has, just not in the past year. I need some friends my own age. It's funny how mature you think you are at 17. You swear, smoke cigarettes, have sex, get tattoos and piercings- all to make yourself look (or feel) older. It's such a shame that many teens waste their youth trying to age themselves. I am glad that I feel so young still. I feel like I never lost the innocence of my childhood, while still becoming a well-adjusted adult.

Today is full of DIY goodness!
I probably got started on this kick yesterday with my DIY bangs...
I got this gold lame shirt at a thrift store in Washington. I didn't really like the neckline, so I turned it around backwards and made it into a v-neck.

And then I saw this DIY on chictopia or lookbook (I can't remember) and I thought it looked really easy and cool.

So today I went to the bead/craft store and got studs and tried it out. It only took 45 minutes plus the trip to the store! It was so easy.
