Camp Four Winds

Okay! I'm alive, I'm alive!
I am currently living in:

I am on a two week RV trip around Washington's Olympic peninsula!  We left a day earlier than I anticipated, so I didn't get to warn you all that I'd be semi-absent from the blogging world.  Right now we are in Gresham, OR, preparing to make our way to the coast.  I would show you pictures, but I am on my mom's computer because the internet code for the wireless at this campground only works on one computer.  Hopefully next campsite I'll be able to get on with my computer.

Did any one go to summer camp?  We just picked my little brother up from the most incredible camp ever, and then last night we went to this other camp where some family friends are counselors to attend their family night.  After seeing it again, I want nothing more than to go back to summer camp.  I wish grown ups could go to summer camp.  I think grown ups would ruin it though.  Kids understand summer camp, they're all about the good clean fun, the adventures, and the experience.  I feel like adults would just get caught up in adult issues, and there would be sexual tension between some men and women, and they wouldn't get it like kids do.  I want to go to camp so bad though.  I want to pretend that I'm in high school again and go to summer camp.

I went to summer camp quite a few times in my elementary and jr. high years.  My high school actually had a week of camp the first week of school each year.  But in high school I spent my summers riding horses competitively, and after I was 12 I never went to camp again.  I went to my freshman high school retreat and my senior retreat, but the week of my school's retreats were during the state fair horseshow, which was one of the biggest ones and the last of the season.
I never regret riding horses, it was one of the best times of my life.  I never felt like I was missing out on anything, but now I kind of see that I was.  If I had to do it over again, though I'd do it all the same.
