I have been in such a positive mood since the new year came about. I think that the event of turning over to a new year sparks such a spirit of optimism in people. They feel empowered to make their life the way they want it to be, that their past has no hold over them any longer and that they can accomplish their goals. Most of the time people think that just because it's a new year these things will happen automatically when they buy a new calendar, but I think the people who actually realize the need to work for the goals they want to attain will succeed. My changes started a few months ago, but the optimism that the new year brings is a refreshing second wind to push through to the end of school and move on to the next stage of life!
